Who are we?
We are Manchester Students’ Union, the biggest SU in the country, supporting over 40,000 students throughout their time at university. We help to make student life the best it can be by supporting students to campaign for change, creating opportunities to meet new people, providing employment opportunities, providing advice and support and being a safe place on campus.
We are a values-centred organisation that employs around 90 permanent, full-time members of staff. We recruit a wide range of roles throughout the year within all our departments from our Commercial team operating Manchester Academy Venues, 13 Media, Bar 532 & Kitchen and Corridor Coffee to our Student Activities, Student Engagement, Marketing and Communications, Finance, HR and Facilities teams. Our team of around 400 part-time, studying staff are instrumental in providing to support to all departments as well as leading major projects like Student Angels. About the role
Are you a tech-savvy graduate looking to drive digital innovation to enhance the student experience at one of the UK's largest Students' Unions? Join our team at Manchester Students' Union (MSU) as an IT Digital Support Coordinator and play a pivotal role in enhancing the digital experience for over 40,000 students!
As the IT Digital Support Coordinator, you will be responsible for the seamless operation of IT and digital systems within the Students' Union. Working within the Insight and Data team, your goal will be to support the Union’s digital transformation, improve workflow efficiency, and manage data securely. You will lead the IT support team, helping staff and students resolve technical issues and boosting their confidence in using digital tools effectively. This role is essential to delivering our organizational strategy, which focuses on empowering students through digital innovation. By coordinating IT support, overseeing digital projects, and developing effective training resources, you will directly contribute to creating a modern and efficient Union that supports student success and operational excellence.
As the IT Digital Support Coordinator, you will develop and implement a comprehensive digital transformation plan to enhance the Union’s data and digital infrastructure, while creating user-friendly training materials for staff and students. You will lead IT projects to optimize systems and introduce new technologies, provide technical support for resolving issues, and ensure compliance with data protection laws. Additionally, you will manage information security risks and collaborate with university departments and external vendors to align digital goals and ensure successful project delivery.

Salary: £24,520 per year
Contract: Full Time, 1 Year Fixed-Term
Hours: 35 hours per week
